The firm has received a RoSPA Gold Health and Safety Award for across the UK & Ireland organisation, and the prestigious RoSPA Gold Medal (6 consecutive Golds) Award for its site at Sellafield. Both awards recognise the hard work the KAEFER team put in to ensure colleagues and customers get home safely to their families at the end of every working day.
Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK's longest-running H&S industry awards.
I am delighted that the RoSPA submissions from KAEFER UK and Ireland and KAEFER Sellafield both received the prestigious Gold Awards this year," said Attia Ramzan, KAEFER UK & Ireland HSEQ Director. "Safety is at the heart of everything we do and I thank every member of the KAEFER UK & Ireland team for their continued dedication to ensuring the safety of themselves and others.
A lot of evidence is required to support and substantiate a RoSPA submission and I'd like to congratulate our HSEQ Team members for pulling all this information together and entering really detailed applications. It goes to show that having a robust safety process supported by both procedural and hardware controls have placed KAEFER in a strong position to continuously drive towards safety excellence in everything we do.
Julia Small, RoSPA's Achievements Director, said: "This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment. All our award entrants demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for keeping people safe at work. By receiving this recognition KAEFER UK & Ireland join like-minded businesses and organisations worldwide, who represent the very best in their approach to Health and Safety. I would like to add my personal thanks for all the work that it has taken to secure this well-deserved award – congratulations to all those involved, who champion and drive up Health and Safety standards every day. You are a fantastic example to others in your sector."
